The name is new. The hands are not. Our crew have spent years moving people around this city — the narrow terraces, the fourth-floor walk-ups, the red routes, the completions that land an hour later than anyone promised. Porter & Co. is that experience under our own name, with the price agreed in writing before the day.
There is nothing complicated about how the job gets done: look at the move properly before quoting, agree the price in writing, turn up with the right kit and enough hands, and put everything in the room it belongs in. Nothing about that is clever. Most of the complaints people have about removals come from firms skipping one of those steps.
We would rather do fewer moves properly than take every job going. If we cannot do yours well — wrong week, wrong size, too far — we will say so rather than take the booking and hope.
